The Dodge Durango isn’t just one of the market's most popular SUVs, it's also one of the most versatile. Whether you're looking for an efficient passenger hauler or something with a bit more muscle under the hood, the Durango delivers on every front.

That only becomes more true with the 2019 model. Hoping to solidify its status as a "no compromise" high performer, Dodge has refined the Durango's trim options to deliver a diverse range of experiences. Let's say, for instance, you're interested in an SUV that focuses on power. The 2019 Durango SRT comes equipped with a HEMI V8 capable of 475 horsepower and 470 pounds-feet of torque. With a maximum towing ability of 8,700 pounds, it's the most powerful three-row full-size SUV on the road.

On the other end of the spectrum, drivers looking for less muscle and more efficiency will find a lot to love in models like the Durango GT. While its Pentastar V6 engine can only offer 295 horsepower with 260 pounds-feet of torque, it gets much better gas mileage. It will take you further on a full tank than many of its peers.

Speaking about the Durango, Dodge executives expressed confidence that the new model would satisfy a wide array of drivers.

Customer demand for utility vehicles in the United States has exploded over the past decade," said Steve Beahm, the head of passenger cars at Dodge. "With America’s fastest, most powerful and most capable three-row SUVs in our garage and the new updates for the 2019 model year, Dodge Durango continues to separate itself from the competition with the performance and capability that our customers demand."
