New for the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT is an eight-speed transmission that delivers power from the 6.4-liter HEMI engine to the ground via a fully electronic automatic mode or through redesigned steering-wheel paddle controls for manual shifting. The new package delivers improved 0-60 mph acceleration with quicker shift speeds and a step quicker in the 1/4-mile thanks to closer gear ratios and the ability to keep the HEMI V-8 in the sweet spot of its power band longer. Eco Mode and Fuel Saver Technology complete the equation for both power and efficiency. Do the math.

When launching the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT, you start with the best-handling Jeep vehicle ever, capable of .90 g skid pad results. That's just the beginning. Selec-Track allows five dynamic settings from Auto to Sport and Track Mode, where 70 percent of the HEMI engine's torque is transferred to the rear wheels for a more rewarding on-track experience. But if weather goes south on the way home, you're covered with a 50-50 balance available in Snow Mode.
